Only Begotten Son
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.  John 3:16

The Greek word for “Begotten” is “monogenés” which means one of a kind or one and only.  No one can compare to Jesus. He is the unique Son, who is fully God and perfectly human.

As John 1:18 says: “No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known.”

I hope you have come to know and believe in the one and only Jesus, so you will not perish but will have everlasting life.  For, “This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.”  1 John 4:9
