DO NOT– HATE ONE ANOTHER
For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another. Titus 3:3 NKJV
A “One Anothering” Thought
to dislike intensely
to feel extreme hostility toward
Hate is a very strong word.
We don’t like to think that we might hate anyone, especially a brother or sister in Christ.
Therefore, we should take this as a reminder to examine ourselves daily to make sure we are not harboring any hatred in our hearts toward anyone,
especially towards our fellow believers, for a hateful attitude is part of our old nature, and it should not be a part of our new life in Christ as Titus goes on to explain in the rest of Chapter 3.
ONE-ANOTHERING IN ACTION:
Today examine yourself to see if there might be any hateful thing in you.
Do you find yourself intensely disliking a fellow believer?
Do you have a feeling of extreme hostility toward someone in your church body?
To you detest a brother or sister in Christ?
If so, use this time to repent of the hatred, ask the Lord’s forgiveness and seek His help to renew your mind and heart to a loving, forgiving attitude.
As you do this in obedience to His word, He will change your mind and heart and bless you with His love and strength.
Then give the situation to the Lord. Ask Him to take care of it and bring justice and healing as it is needed.
Let Him have the burden of it, then you will be able to walk in forgiveness and His love.
Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish
ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand,
just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. Galatians 5:19-21 NKJV
