I wait for the LORD, my soul waits,
And in His word I do hope.

Psalm 130:5 NKJV
praying hands PRAYER FOR DECEMBER 2016
Dear God,
Everyday it seems many of us are waiting for something. Some for news from loved ones, some for a good report from the doctor, some for a long awaited phone call or letter.
Some are waiting in anticipation for Christmas, children are making Christmas lists and shoppers are waiting for sales. Many working are waiting for the time to go home, or for their paycheck, or perhaps just waiting for someone to give them a word of appreciation or thanks. There are so many people waiting for something.
And You, Dear God, are waiting too. You are waiting for mankind to call upon You. You are waiting for everyone to seek You. You are waiting to hear these words spoken by all of us: "I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, And in His word I do hope."
I do say that now LORD God. I do wait for You. My soul does wait and in Your word I do hope. Thank You that You are waiting for me and that You hear me and that You will answer me.

If you prayed that prayer (or if you wanted to but couldn't) please email me and let me know.

The Contest:

One day a group of scientists got together and decided that man had come a long way and no longer needed God. So they picked one scientist to go and tell God that they were done with Him.
The scientist walked up to God and said, "God, we've decided that we no longer need You. We're to the point that we can clone people and do many miraculous things, so why don't You just go on and get lost."
God listened very patiently and kindly to the man. After the scientist was done talking, God said, "Very well, how about this? Let's say we have a man-making contest?"
To which the scientist replied, "Okay, great!"
But, God added, "Now, we're going to do this just like I did back in the old days with Adam."
The scientist said, "Sure, no problem," and the scientist bent down and grabbed himself a handful of dirt.
God looked at him and said, "No, no, no! You go get your own dirt!"
